The driver was able to unhook and pull the tractor forward away from the burning trailer. St. George FD, UDCR and on scene Ashley River FD members assisted. Captain Wayne Sammons, ARFD was initiated Command and transferred I/C to Chief Brandon Holt, IFFD once he arrived on scene. Cattle Creek VFD Structure Fire, Aug 23, 2010 August 23, 2010 Structure Fire, Cattle Creek Volunteer Fire Department. The following agencies responded to assist Cattle Creek VFD. Reevesville VFD, St. George FD, Grover VFD, Canaan and Branchville FD's from Orangeburg County, Dorchester County EMS, Dorchester County Sheriff’s Department, American Red Cross. Special thanks to DCEMS and everyone that helped with REHAB. It took about an hour to bring the fire under control. Chief Jimmy Fender, Reevesville VFD was the Incident Commander.
